Background:
Tryptophan hydroxylase is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine,or 5HT). Tryptophan hydroxylaseatalyzes the iopterin-dependent monooxygenation of tryptophan to5-hydroxytryptophan (5HT), which is subsequently decarboxylated to form the neurotransmitter serotonin. Human tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH) is mapped to chromosome 11p15.3-p14 by in situhybridization. PA000093-MA1099: Tryptophan Hydroxylase Monoclonal Antibody Mouse Monoclonal Antibody. Specificity/Sensitivity: Human, rat, rabbit. No cross reactivity with other proteins. Applications: Western blot: At0.5-1 ug/ml with the appropriate system to detect tryptophan hydroxylase in cells and tissues. Reactivity: Human, Rabbit, Rat. Immunogen: Recombinant rabbit tryptophan hydroxylase. Purification: Purified by the goat anti-mouse IgG affinity chromatography. Form of Antibody: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2 mg BSA and 0.01 mg NaN3 as preservative. Clone: Try-63; Isotype: Mouse IgG3. Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

Antibodies are immunoglobulins secreted by effector lymphoid B cells into the bloodstream. Antibodies consist of two light peptide chains and two heavy peptide chains that are linked to each other by disulfide bonds to form a “Y” shaped structure. Both tips of the “Y” structure contain binding sites for a specific antigen. Antibodies are commonly used in medical research, pharmacological research, laboratory research, and health and epidemiological research. They play an important role in hot research areas such as targeted drug development, in vitro diagnostic assays, characterization of signaling pathways, detection of protein expression levels, and identification of candidate biomarkers.
