|Introduction SSTR2 (Somatostatin receptor type 2) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SSTR2 gene. Somatostatin acts at many sites to inhibit the release of many hormones and other secretory proteins. The biologic effects of somatostatin are probably med by a family of G protein-coupled receptors that are expressed in a tissue-specific manner. SSTR2 is a member of the superfamily of receptors having seven transmembrane segments and is expressed in highest levels in cerebrum and kidney. Stable SSTR2 transfection of human |WB 0.1-0.5 ug/ml. Reactivity: Human, Rat, Mouse. Immunogen: A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence in the middle region of human SSTR2, identical to the related rat and mouse sequences. Purification: Immunogen affinity purified. Form of Antibody: Lyophilized. Isotype: Rabbit IgG. Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original v after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
